As a South Florida native, former Division I athlete, and accomplished legal professional, Michael Birts understands the discipline, preparation, and strategic thinking it takes to succeed—whether on the court or in the boardroom.
Michael’s journey began in Homestead, Florida, where faith, sports, and education shaped his early life. He became the first student from Robert Morgan Educational Center to earn a Division I athletic scholarship, later graduating cum laude from Lynn University.
Michael went on to earn his Juris Doctorate from Florida A&M College of Law, where he was recognized as a Florida Business Law Section Scholar and developed a passion for business and legal strategy. During his legal studies, he engaged with organizations such as the FAMU Tax Law Society and the Entertainment, Arts, & Sports Legal Society, further building his foundation in business-focused legal practice.
Prior to founding Birts Legal, Michael worked as an associate at the largest minority and women-owned law firm in the United States, where he successfully resolved complex cases involving personal injury, negligent security, wrongful death, and business litigation.
Today, through Birts Legal, Michael brings that same tenacity and attention to detail to entrepreneurs and business owners seeking to protect their companies and navigate the legal landscape with confidence.
